Develop an electronics industry standard for shipping platforms. There is some concern that this mission is too broad and may slow us down. However, the mission could be broad but with goals that would be limited in focus in the beginning. Therefore, the "goal" could be a shipping platform for the computer industry, short term, with the mission including the electronics industry.
There is no intention of trying to achieve a true worldwide standard requiring acceptance by all other industries (ex. chemical, grocery, automotive, etc.). However, it is useful to watch the progress of other industries since it could affect our group.
